Alix Higgins is a Sydney-based fashion designer celebrated for his emotionally charged, digitally infused garments that blur the lines between poetry, identity, and internet culture. Raised in the small town of Otford, Higgins discovered fashion through Tumblr, where he explored themes of gender and self-expression. He honed his craft at the University of Technology Sydney and the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris, later working with French designer Marine Serre. In 2021, Higgins launched his eponymous label, characterized by body-hugging silhouettes, vibrant prints, and evocative text drawn from personal journals. His designs, often worn by celebrities like Hunter Schafer and Troye Sivan, have become staples in Sydney's queer party scene. Committed to sustainability, Higgins emphasizes small production runs and upcycled materials, as seen in his 2024 collection "Archery Practice." His innovative approach earned him the Emerging Designer of the Year award at the 2023 Australian Fashion Laureate.
